What is Microsoft Power Apps?
Simple Development
Or zero development. With Microsoft Power Apps, you can quickly create apps without developer knowledge, optimized for mobile or tablet use. A one-day training is recommended!
Multiple Databases
Connect your Power Apps to various databases, such as SharePoint lists, Excel, SQL, and CDS. The usable databases depend on whether you create a Canvas App or Model-driven app.
Canvas App
For a fully customizable interface, Canvas App offers the greatest flexibility in both UI and development, though some intermediate programming skills are required.
Model-Driven App
If you’re familiar with Dynamics 365 solutions, you’ll recognize the Model-Driven App. It starts with the data model, making app creation simpler as PowerApps generates much of the application.
Which Should I Use?
If you store data in CDS, go for Model-driven Apps for ease of use. Otherwise, choose Canvas App for more flexibility, albeit with some programming required.
Mobile and Tablet
Canvas App applications can be created for tablet and mobile modes. For desktop use, choose the tablet view. Model-driven apps are responsive by default, adapting to screen size.
