Gloster Cloud's experts assisted MemoQ in implementing Microsoft solutions, including Azure cloud technology, enabling the company to automate deployment processes and enhance data management. As a result, MemoQ increased its operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
MemoQ, a prominent player in the translation management software market, distinguishes itself through efficiency, scalability, and high accuracy. Based in Hungary, the company has been providing high-quality solutions across various industries for nearly two decades, where technical precision, safety, and compliance are crucial. Co-CEO Balázs Kis explains, "We offer premium translations that require the human touch."
In its early days, the company utilized collaborative translation, distributing source material among multiple translators and editors. However, as the volume of work increased and deadlines became tighter, managing document versions became complex and time-consuming. MemoQ aimed to develop a translation management software solution to help providers efficiently handle numerous documents flowing in and out, alongside the necessary infrastructure to support its product.
With the assistance of Gloster Cloud, MemoQ transitioned to Microsoft Azure cloud technology to strengthen its translation software. The Azure platform enabled the company to create diverse deployment environments, including private clouds for larger clients. "We have over 777 cloud instances, where multiple users share a single virtual machine (VM), making processes much more automated thanks to Azure," says Kis.
Gloster Cloud helped MemoQ automate deployment tasks, further enhancing scalability. "Access management is seamlessly integrated with Azure Active Directory," notes Kis. Maintaining data integrity was also essential; the company ensures every client has a separate SQL Server database, safeguarding their data.
Microsoft also provided tools to streamline MemoQ's internal operations. The team began using Power BI for business data analysis and forecasting recurring revenues. "By utilizing reserved VMs, we've managed to reduce our costs by about 15%," highlights Kis.
As MemoQ plans its future growth, it continues to leverage Azure's capabilities. "The Azure infrastructure provides a strong foundation that allows us to integrate more sophisticated security features and enhance our security posture," states Kis. The company has ambitious plans to bolster its artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities using Azure Cognitive Services.
MemoQ’s growth is closely tied to its use of Microsoft solutions, enabling them to achieve more with fewer resources. "Cloud technology has opened up new opportunities for us to remain competitive in the future," concludes Balázs Kis.
